Coin Identification

Coin identification. Surely in your collection of world coins, ancient coins or any type of collection you have some coins that you cannot identify because they are deteriorated or because they include strange symbols or letters. The first step to know if a coin has value is to recognise and classify it. Upload a couple of pictures and a brief description including as much information as possible and get help from other numismatists and hobbyists.

Other resources for identifying and recognising coins

Before uploading your coin to try to be recognised, it is highly recommended that you take a look at the resources we offer. Look at one of the two sides of the coin, it is very likely that it has a coat of arms of the country to which it belongs. Also, if it is written in symbols other than our alphabet, you can guess the equivalent in our culture.

1.- Useful 1 Not useful 0 Emilio Megía Vilalta: Hola Vicente, no te sé decir si es una moneda o una medalla, aunque creo que esto último. Parece ser de Irak, de 1978. Conmemora el 10º aniversario de la revolución irakí de 1968. Si es original se supone que es de oro y es muy rara y escasa. Un saludo.

AYUDA PARA IDENTIFICAR MONEDA

Saludos a todas las personas de foro. Estoy tratando de identificar esta moneda pero sin resultados aun. Ya no se donde mas buscar y recurro a Uds. por si me pueden dar alguna referencia. La moneda es pequeña mide 20mm de diametro, lleva una cruz en el anverso y noto la letra s y pareciera un numero 4 también. En el reverso noto el el diseño de un jinete montado en su caballo. He revisado muchas monedas que tienen cruz pero no encuentro nada similar y muchos menos con el diseño del reverso.
