The 1940 10 cent coins, popularly known as "perras gordas", are emblematic pieces of Spanish numismatics. Minted in aluminum, the obverse shows the figure of an Iberian horseman, while the reverse shows the Spanish coat of arms flanked by pillars. These coins have a diameter of 23 mm and weigh approximately 2 grams.
